#TWElectionUpdates - Tsai breaks vote record

President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) has broken the record for the number of votes garnered in a Taiwanese presidential election. Ma Ying-jeou (馬英九) of the KMT set the previous record with 7,658,724 in 2008, but Tsai has 7,771,102 with 674 precincts out of 17,226 still to report in. Based on the votes already recorded by the CEC, voter turnout will be just over 70%.
